Harold "Harry" L. Ideus
Age 82, a resident of New Lenox, formerly of Oak Lawn, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. Beloved husband of Patricia Ideus (Kemple); loving father of Laura Ideus and Paul Ideus; and dear step-father of Ron (Nancy) Duda, Ken (Gloria) Duda, Tim (Caris) Duda, and Sue (Lt. Colonel Donald) Chapman; devoted grandfather of Joe, Matt, and Ben Aklinski, Travis, Brandon, and Brooklyn Ideus, and step-grandfather of Christopher, Matthew, Keegan, Ellen, Evan, Ian, Kristina, and John Duda, and Benjamin, Samuel, and Grace Chapman; loving brother of Joyce (Roger) Detzner, and uncle of Ashley Detzner. Harry graduated from Blue Island High School, and received his Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Wartburg College in Iowa. He was a New Jersey Air National Guard Veteran, and retired from Cornerstone Services in Joliet. Harry was an amateur photographer, and was passionate for automobiles and collected model automobiles. Harry and his wife Pat were the Owner's and Proprietors of PNH Antiques. They enjoyed traveling all over Illinois and Wisconsin visiting local antique stores. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 2:00 PM until time of Funeral service at 4:00 PM. Interment private.
