Robert Joseph Gibes
Age 86, lifelong resident of Lockport, IL. passed away peacefully, at his home, on Sunday, September 25, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Robert is survived by his adored daughter and son-in-law Laura (Rick) Racich; and his sisters Lucy Nosil and Rosemary (Rich) Burian. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years Marilyn (nee Mrozek) Gibes; his parents John Gibes and Pearl (nee Wisneski); and numerous siblings. Robert graduated from Lockport Central High school, was a lifetime member of St. John Vianney Church in Lockport, and Korean War Army Veteran. Robert's family would like to thank his amazing caregiver Deb Mangognia, and Vitas Hospice for their loving care. The family will receive friends at St. John Vianney Church, 401 Brassel St., Lockport, IL 60441 on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 9:30 AM until time of Mass at 10:00 AM.
