Richard Winke
Age 87, a resident of South Wilmington, formerly of Lockport, IL. Born January 14, 1930 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 28, 2017. Beloved husband of 65 years to the late Geraldine Winke (nee Rambo); loving father of the late David Winke, Donald Ray Winke, Dennis Reed (Stacy) Winke, Deborah Lynn (late Thomas Webster) Winke, and Dawn Lois (Victor) Huser; cherished grandfather of David (Justi) Winke, Krissy Pesavento, Justin Pesavento, Matthew (Abby) Winke, Samantha Huser, Scott Huser, and Brittany Huser; and great-grandfather of Griffin, Delanie, Lyllianna, Eli, Cayden, and Cooper; dear brother of Ruthie Reiter, June Kemp, and Marylou Holeman. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Neva Winke (Deadmore), and siblings: John Winke, Ed Winke, Donnie Winke, Ceal Newton, Henrietta Winke, Robert Winke, and Eve Marti. Richard was a United States Army Veteran, lifetime member of the Lockport VFW Post 5788, and member of Local 150. The family will receive friends at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton St, Lockport, IL 60441 on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 5:00 PM until time of Funeral Service at 7:00 PM. Interment private.
