Weicker, Marjorie

Weicker, Marjorie, 94, of Park Forest, passed away March 24, 2018 at Brookdale in Olympia Fields. She is survived by Sons: James "Jay", Jr. (Bonnie) of Homewood, Robert (Martha) of Park Forest, David of Itasca; grandchildren: Erin (Patrick) Dwyer, Samantha, Sarah, Rachel, David "D.J.", Jr., Patrick Weicker; great-grandchildren: Katelyn, Kaelyn, Gideon, and Michala. Preceded in death by daughter, Judy Towle nee Weicker in 2008, her sister, Virginia Smith in 2009, and her husband of 66 years, James "Jim" E. Weicker in 2010. Born to Louis and Ruth Smith, Marge was born and raised in Chicago Heights. Marge was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church of Chicago Heights, Il. She worked at the Park Forest library after raising her children. Jim and Marge traveled and golfed in their retirement and Marge was an avid bridge player up until her death. Visitation Sat., April 7th from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 900 Thomas Street, Chicago Heights, IL. Interment following at the Presbyterian/Rest Haven Cemetery in Chicago Heights, IL. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Presbyterian Memorial Fund.
