Love Emblem

Marie A. Quigley

Marie A. Quigley (nee Mathews), age 62, passed away after a long illness on Saturday, July 16, 2016.

Marie is survived by her most devoted and loving husband of 31 years, Robert Quigley; her loving daughter Danielle Mathews; her sister, Anne (Robert Surkein) Mathews; sister-in-law Barbara (the late Frank) Mathews; her mother-in-law Ann Quigley (the late Jim); her brother-in-law Dennis Quigley (Collette); brother-in-law Brian Quigley (MaryBeth); her grandsons Joseph and Steven Miles; numerous nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Sara Mathews; her brothers Frank and John and her sister Helen.

Marie was born in Waupaca, Wisconsin and grew up in Lockport. She attended Valley View grade school and Lockport West high school. Marie enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved bingo, working crossword puzzles with her husband, gardening, fishing and going to the casino. Marie's nickname was LB because of the little pranks she would pull on her friends. Marie took pleasure in helping others and often volunteered her services to anyone who needed a hand.
A special thank you to Marie's caregiver, Aughie, who took incredible care of Marie for the last 5 ½ years.
The family will receive friends at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton St., Lockport, IL 60441 on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 5:00 PM until time of Memorial Service at 6:00 PM. Interment private. Info www.goodalememorialchapel.com or 815-838-1533
