Leslie "Gene" Davis
Age 81, of Lockport, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017. Beloved husband of Lois (Corbus); loving father of Ronda (Michael) Feehan, Dale Davis, and Terry Davis and step-father of Deborah (Howard) Wilson and Randy Summerlott; cherished grandfather of Michael (Alma) Noble, Krystal Noble, Daniel Noble, Camryn Feehan, Jessica Musgrave, Richard Musgrave, Chazz Davis, and Arianna Wilson; and great-grandfather of Matthew Clevenger, Taryn Clevenger, and Adam Hinriksson; dear brother of Marian (Phil) Hester, Bill (Meredith "Jo") Davis, and Betty (Lloyd) Spencer; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Emma Davis (Hamlin); daughter Emma (late Richard) Musgrave; and siblings Jim (late Francis) Davis, Helen (late Gailen) Arnott, Jean (late Alex) Ferrari, Paul (Lois) Davis, Carol Lotzmann, and Lee (Nancy) Davis. Gene retired as an Engineer from General Motors after 38 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Crossroad Christian Church in Joliet and Braidwood Country Club. He was an avid collector of model trains and John Wayne memorabilia; he enjoyed gardening, especially sharing produce with others, camping, and helping neighbors with yardwork and snow plowing. Family will receive friends at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton Street, Lockport, IL 60441 on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon.
