LAWRENCE E. OGLESBY

Age 86 of Frankfort, passed away on Monday, August 15th 2016 at his home in Frankfort.

Lawrence is survived by his loving family, wife, Joy Oglesby (East), son, Gary (Karen) Oglesby, siblings, Marilyn (Lyle) Sanstead, William (Darlene) Oglesby, Barbara (Vernon) Nelson, grandchildren, Leslie Oglesby, Laura (Steve) Long, David Oglesby, great grandchildren, Dylan McIntyre, Autumn Long, Madeline Long and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon & Joyce Oglesby (Abroe).

Lawrence was a United States Army Veteran who served during the Korean War. He was a very active and dedicated member of the Frankfort VFW and an extremely talented wood working artist.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 18th, 2016 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 and again on Friday, August 19th, 60423 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM at Wilton Center Federated Church, 14101 W. Joliet Road, Manhattan, IL 60442. Interment, Bronswood Cemetery, Oak Brook, IL Friday, August 19th, 2016 at 2:30 PM. Donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
