Age 79, of Mokena formerly of Chicago, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016. Loving husband of Kathleen (nee Quinlan); beloved father of Joseph (Kathy), James, and John (Julie Pierie); dearest brother of RoseMary (Jack "John") Gratkins and the late Patricia Ryan; cherished grandfather of Aaron, Briana, Ethan, Kyle and Alex; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Joseph was a graduate of Mt. Carmel class of 1955 and an active member of the Mt. Carmel caravan. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 65 Old Frankfort Way Frankfort IL 60423 on Friday, September 16, 2016 from 3-9PM. Funeral service on Saturday September 17, 2016 prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:15AM leaving for St. Mary Catholic Church, Mokena for a 10:00AM Mass of Christian Burial.
