Edwin "Ed" A. Erickson
Age 74, a resident of Lockport, IL passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 17, 2017. Loving brother of Jerry (Sandy) Erickson; cherished uncle of John (Teresa) Erickson, Chris (Michelle), Tina (Nat) Freeman, and Eddie (Katrina Wallace) Erickson; beloved brother-in-law of Susan (Lucky Vlahos) Erickson; also survived by numerous great nieces and great nephews, Susan Erickson, and his beloved dog Maggie #2 and neighbors Barb and Murph Meyers. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Luella Erickson (McGahey), and his brother Jim Erickson. Ed was a United States Army Veteran a member of American Legion Lockport Post #18, NRA, Muzzelle Loaders, Trappers Limited and ISRA. Ed loved doing anything outdoors. Special thank you to Dr. Daniel Co and Dr. Ernie Tan for many years of care. To some of Ed's close friends Joe WittenKeller, Mark Klement, Orville Reiter and Paul Alphin, thank you fo all the years of hunting, trapping, fishing and collecting and friendship. A memorial visitation will be held at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton St. Lockport, IL 60441 on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 10:00AM until time of memorial service at 12:00 Noon, Officiating Pastor Gil Palmer. Inurnment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. Per Ed and the Erickson family, for those attending services, please dress casual. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family per Ed's Wishes would be appreciated. Info or 815-838-1533.
