72, of New Lenox formerly of Joliet, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017. Loving husband of Linda Fitzpatrick-Russell (Thompson) ; beloved stepfather of Timothy Fitzpatrick and Shannon (Dave) Lykowski; dearest son of the late Francis and Katherine (Devlin) Russell; fond brother of J. Kevin (Robin) Russell, Maureen Russell and Patricia (late Pete) Neff; cherished grandfather of Jameson and Camden Lykowski; dear son in law of Dave and Pat Thompson and many godsons, nieces and nephews. Edward was a Professor at Robert Morris University and St. Francis Academy and a board member for the Will County Historical Society. Edward's family would like to thank the team at Family Home Health Hospice; Christina C., Conlinna N., Cypnan I., Daniel D., Jennifer L., LaShaila T., Tom F., and Lakita W. for their care and support The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 3-8 PM, Funeral service, Thursday, July 13, 2017 prayers at 9:15 am leaving for St. Mary Catholic Church, Mokena for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial.
