Glenn Edward Adam Sr.
of New Lenox, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the age of 75 after a brief illness. Glenn was born in Chicago July 13, 1942, but grew up and was educated in Rolla, MO. Glenn was a New Lenox resident for 47 years and was known by many for his wonderful personality and sense of humor that always was sure to make people smile. After retiring in 2009 from Chicago Laborers Union #96 he worked part time at C P Meat Market, New Lenox. Glenn is survived by his children, Glenn Jr (Tina) Adam, and Terri (David) Adam-Jungles; grandchildren, Kylie Jungles, Kassidy Jungles, Kalli Jungles, and Nolan Adam; his siblings, Jan (Tom) O'Hanlon, Linda Adam, Faye (Teri) Adam, Linda Blanchard, Charles Blanchard Jr, Billy Blanchard, Beth Binkley Fennerty, James (Gail) Blanchard; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins;his step-mother Erma Adam of St. James, MO. Preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Lucy (nee Deinema) Adam in 2008; his parents Deletta (nee Werner) and Frank Adam, and Charles Blanchard and Elizabeth Blanchard; his siblings Frank Adam Jr, and Charlene Blanchard. Glenn was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a member of the New Lenox Sons of the American Legion. He was an avid outdoor sportsman, loved gardening, loved his cats (Dylan/Lucy), and always enjoyed his friends and a good cup of coffee. Above all, he loved his family and his grandchildren who he proudly spoke of often. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Adam Family or Jungles Family to be dispersed to charities near and dear to their hearts. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 3pm-9pm. Funeral Service Friday, February 23, 2018 at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private.

My sympathy to all of Glenn's family and friends. Once in a while you meet someone who is genuine, kind, and caring-Glenn was that kind of man who impressed all who came to know him-simply a great guy! He will surely be missed!

I attended Bridge school with Jan and linda it was a small 1 room school which I attended all 8 years. Jan and I went on to attend Rolla High School and graduated in 1964 I want prayers to go out to the entire family.
