Frank J. Knowski
Age 83, of Matteson formerly of Chicago, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018, Loving husband of 60 years to Joan (Wilczynski); beloved father of Michael (Susan), Anna Pikowski, David and Joseph (Jane); cherished grandfather of Matthew, Kristina (Aaron) Victoria, Angela, Emilia Rae, Abby, Grace, Jacklyn, Josephine, Frank, and Luke; dear brother Richard (Patricia) and several late brothers and sisters; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Frank was a Chicago Policeman retiring after 33 years of service, a veteran of the U.S. Army a member of The Central Park American Legion Post 1028, VFW, Fraternal Order of Police, Illinois Police Association, and the St. Jude League. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 3 to 8PM with a funeral service at 8PM. Interment will be private. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Knowski family at this time. Mr Knowski is someone who I will always remember him from all the fun times on 60th place whether it was practicing football for St Nicks of just playing at the house.

I worked the wagon with Frank at the 9th District. A good Police Officer and a good man. Not many of those left. Rest in peace Frank, you earned it.
