Condolence & Memory Journal

I would like to pass along my sincere condolences to both the Jurvich and the Rinke and the Reils families..... I have such fond memories of Aunt Bernie from being part of her family many years ago when I was married to Robert Reils, of New Lenox. We had three children, my daughter, Breanna Stewart age 29, and our two biological sons, Alex Reils age 20, and William Reils age 18..... I'll never forget the Reils-Rinke Family Reunion we had at my In-Laws home, Dale & Carolyn Reils, in Mokena the year I was pregnant with Alex, back in the summer of 1997. Aunt Bernie and Uncle George both attended. They were both such sweet people. I also want to pass along my condolences to my dear friend since kindergarten, Andy Jurvich. He has been a life-long friend and I'm so sorry for your loss. The Rinke, Reils, & Jurvich families are in my heart and in my prayers for Aunt Bernie's loss. She will be missed...... God Bless you all. ❤With Love... Lisa&Breanna Stewart and Alex & William Reils

Bernie was a sweet soul, we were neighbors for years me my mom and my kids. I was deathly afraid of storms, all I had to do was call and ask Bernie if we could share their basement til weather passed. Of course she said come on over, so me and the babies ran over and we were greeted with a smile . And so we told stories and such until it was safe to go home. What a love she was , and what an angel God has up there now. Love ya Bernie, and prayers to her wonderful loving family. Love the Troutman's

Dear Joe and family,

I'm so sorry for the loss of your beautiful mother. I know that you loved her so very much and cared for her deeply. Such a beautiful lady. My mom said that your mom's nickname was "Bernie". I never knew that. She also reminded me that when your mom & dad were married in their early years, they lived in the apartment above the house next door to my Grandma & Grandpa Swanson's house on Mississippi Ave. in Joliet. I had forgotten all about that. Then who knew that they would move to Mokena where my Grandma Tomaska (dad, uncles & cousin) lived and that eventually when my mom & dad moved to Manhattan, you & I would know one another from going to Lincoln Way together - and later on you would work briefly with my mom at Eagle in New Lenox. What a small world. I'm so sorry that your mom has left this world but I hope she left it to go on to a better place with your dad and other loved ones. Though words alone cannot take away the sorrow or grief that you're experiencing, I hope in time God will ease your sadness and fill your heart & soul with joy and I hope you never forget the wonderful memories and life you shared with her. God Bless you all! Karen Principali (Tomaska
