Condolence & Memory Journal

I am broken hearted to hear of denny's death. He and i were like brothers in our younger years. We met when we were 6 years old. We lived in hickory creek and knew where all the fish were. Of coarse he always caught the biggest. So many adventures over the years. Denny was always there in the good or bad times.I always remember his hot rods especially his 69 yellow chevelle 396. Our fishing trips to canada, colorado, and wisconsin. I wish i could go on but too many tears. The world is a little sadder with out denny. Go rest high on that mountain buddy

Dearest Hocker Family:

I have had the great honor and privilege in working for Dennis at Filtration Group as an outside contractor. I have never had a better business relationship ever in my 35+ years in contracting. Dennis was always honest, high character and faith filled man I have ever been associated with. His passing stunned me this week and broke my heart. He moved on way to fast for all of us and I cannot understand why God allowed him to go home soooo soon. I loved his passion and love for his wife Hope, and children Chris and Andrea. We shared often together, the great joy of having our our own grandchildren. I will always keep him and his entire family in my prayers. God's Blessings.

I'm very saddened to have heard about our loss of Dennis. He was a fine person for whom everyone knew as a friend.
In our adolescence, our neighborhood was always incomplete without Dennis joining us when we all played baseball together, for he was the "Babe at bat" as he could knock a baseball an easy 400 feet and also very talented in sports. Dennis, along with myself was also a dedicated White Sox fan for which we had so much in common.
Dennis was always a positive influence and though I hadn't seen him in nearly three decades, he was always the Dennis that I remembered from the decades from long before - a genuine friend. He will be missed by everyone that had ever known him.

Denny was one of the classiest men I have ever met. Everyone that came in contact with him had the utmost respect for him. When he spoke , we listened. He was genuine to the bone. A great friend and true gentleman. You will be missed Den, but never forgotten. Thoughts are with his wonderful family.

Dennis and I worked together at Filtration Group for longer than I can remember. He was simply the nicest guy I could imagine. Always there to help me with whatever I needed. He will be very missed by everyone that knew him here at Filtration Group. I sadly will not be able to attend the services this weekend, so please know that his entire family is in my thoughts and prayers during this time.

We have kept in touch almost weekly since the departure of J.L. Prescott Vie E-mail. Once or twice we were able to grab a beer and catch up on life. He talked immensely of his wife, children and grand children. They lite up his world and he was very proud of all of you....He is gone, but will never be forgotten...Rest in peace my friend...............
