Sending thoughts and prayers at this time of mourning on behalf of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Lockport Post 5788. As a member of our Auxiliary, Geraldine was a vital part of the heart and spirit of our organization. We sincerely offer condolences to your family.
O God of mercy, peace, and love, we remember before you in this moment our sister and friend,
Geraldine Winke. We recall with gratitude and respect all that she stood for in this life. Help us to live in the companionship of her spirit. May we be kind to the friends and family she loved; devoted to the community in which she lived; and loyal to the causes which she served. Thus, in our life, may she live on, to our great comfort, to the betterment of your creation, and to the furthering of your most Holy Will. Amen

I never had the honor of meeting Mrs. Winke. My husband and I are very fortunate to call ourselves friends of her dear son, Dennis. Anyone who raised a son that is as genuine, kind and considerate as Dennis had to be a remarkable individual. May Geraldine's family find comfort is the legacy she left behind. Our deepest sympathies, Ron and Karin.
