We had the good fortune to meet Fr. Mark as a fellow pilgrim on a trip to Italy. Fr. Mark was a man of true humility and shared the gospel and love of the church with everyone he encountered. He was an inspiration.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, parish family and friends.R7J

I remember Father Mark fondly from his time at St. Scholastica Church in Woodridge and as one of my parents' dear friends. Rest in peace.

I will miss receiving his "Christmas card" in April!

One of my first (and unusual) memories was performing in Kiss Me Kate with him. It took a little getting used to performing with a priest in tights!

St Dennis and Lockport a poorer place with loss. Heaven a richer place with his addition.

We knew Father Mark from when he was a priest at St. Scholastica in Woodridge, IL. I will always remember a mass he did in sign language. It was beautiful-especially the hymns. We also would see him over the years at St. Vincent de Paul functions and at various plays in the area. Rest in Peace Father Mark.

I just saw Father Fracaro when he presided over Mass a month or so ago at St. Joseph's in Lockport. He was always such a joyful presence.

Our Azzarello family has know Father Mark, like forever. He was part of our family celebrations. My parents served communion with him at St. Scholastica Church in Woodridge for many years. We have kept in touch with him even when he moved on. He was a great and caring man of God.
Recently our mom passed and he came and prayed with us at her memorial service earlier this year.
Father Mark has definately left a black space with his passing but will now be with his best buddy, God!

Fr Mark & I were in a one-act-play show a while back. He was such a great guy to have around. Made everyone comfortable - and mellow - with his unique humor. He made everything better. Whenever we saw each other since then he always waved & said hello. He remembered my name. So cool.
